We have had lots of fun in the studio in November. First 3 lessons were of a fun nature. Students learned "Mr. Turkey", "Five Fat Turkeys" and "Ten Little Turkeys" plus we had fun turkey coloring pages, rhythm activities, and games (which included saving Mr. Turkey in the Chasing Mr. Turkey game). We also had a visit from the studio turkey begging cooks to use a chicken recipe (PLEASE!!!) and even had candy/cookie turkey treats.
This week - we took a little more serious nature and talked about what we were thankful for and students learned "Hurray, Thanksgiving Day" song by Susan Pardis, did a stepping/skipping Musical Mayflower worksheet and I read the words and played for each student the beautiful "A Thanksgiving Prayer" by Wendy Stevens (words are poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson).
